EPITHALON 10MG
⚠️ FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY — NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION. Intended solely for in vitro research and laboratory use.
Epithalon (also written Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly (AEDG), developed by the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. It is derived from the active components of epithalamin, a polypeptide extract of the bovine pineal gland.
The most studied mechanism of Epithalon is telomerase activation — in vitro studies on human fibroblasts have reported telomere length increases of ~33% and ~10 additional cell divisions versus controls. It also influences melatonin synthesis via the pineal gland, modulates IL-2 mRNA, and regulates circadian and antioxidant pathways. Animal studies have shown lifespan extension in models predisposed to rapid aging or high cancer risk.
