Cagrilintide is a stable, lipidated long-acting amylin analogue developed for obesity research. It acts on amylin and calcitonin receptors (AMY1R and AMY3R) in the brain, enhancing satiety signaling, reducing hunger, and prolonging gastric emptying.

Its long half-life supports once-weekly subcutaneous dosing in research protocols. In combination with semaglutide (CagriSema), it has shown additive weight-loss effects in clinical investigation — a Phase 1B trial reported an additional ~7.4% body-weight reduction on top of semaglutide, for a total of ~17.1%.
